SITUATION

Our gamescom task force has recovered and we're now processing all the feedback our developers have received from visitors. Besides that, we have an important Armaversary coming up tomorrow, and we've prepared a few fun things in celebration. Stay tuned!

INTELLIGENCE

This year's gamescom has ended and we look back on another successful event for Bohemia. Our booth was visited by thousands of splendid visitors who had the opportunity to play Bohemia games, have a chat with the developers, and grab some merch. Thanks to the Arma 3 devs (Ondřej Kužel, Krzysztof Bielawski, Jan Čepera) and other Bohemia crew who worked tirelessly to make the booth as entertaining as possible, and of course to everyone who visited. We really appreciate the support from you, the players and community!

One of the most prominent Bohemia fans (and true Arma 3 ambassador), Melle, was interviewed by Bohemia's Brand & PR Manager Korneel van 't Land. In this chat, Melle introduces himself, talks about his gaming beginnings with Bohemia games, and also shares the best experience he's had with regards to an Arma game so far. Thanks Melle for participating in this fun little video!

Last Friday, September 7 it was one year since Arma 3's Laws of War DLC was released. To celebrate this anniversary, Senior Designer Karel Mořický lifted the curtain on some of the designs and details that composed this unorthodox DLC. In the (SPOILER-rich) Twitter thread, Karel shares all kinds of behind-the-scenes insights. It's very much recommended for anyone who's interested in the topic or just wants to know more about the decision-making processes in game development.

OPERATIONS

The community modders and terrain makers among our Dev-Branch subscribers can benefit from several diagnostics that are now available in the Diagnostics Executable. Technical Designer Jiří Lank provides some reasons and motivations for adding this functionality and explains how they can be beneficial for the modding community: "These commands should provide better in-game diagnostics for the community. They're especially useful when working on Fire Geometry of armored assets. But you can use it for general troubleshooting of models, too!" As per usual, you are welcome to provide your feedback on the forums!

Senior Producer and Tools Commissar Julien Vida has released a new experimental update for the Arma 3 Tools package. This update focuses on improving the stability of Terrain Builder. While these changes should be beneficial in the long run, we still recommend our community creators to back up their project data frequently on the experimental branch. Let us know what you think of the new update on the Bohemia forums.

LOGISTICS

There was a small security update to the main branch of the game. It managed to dramatically reduce game crashes as a result of a 'Generic error' which some users were experiencing. Thanks to our partners at Battleye for urgently addressing this issue!
